A successful and expanding automotive tier 1 supplier of suspension and steering components is growing its technical capability and winning major new business.
We are currently seeking to recruit contract Component Design Engineers until the end of 2012 for a major automotive project.
This Engineer could be based at Darlaston if necessary but will require regular travel to Gaydon and Banbury.
The individual will be required to hold HNC/HND/Degree in an Engineering/Design discipline, as well as good Catia V5 experience.
Experience is required in the design of parts in sheet metal, design of parts in forgings (steel or aluminium) or in castings.
The individual may have also designed knuckles, control arms, drive shafts. prop shafts, brakes in the past
Ideally, the Engineer will have experience in automotive chassis, although power train people will also considered.
Designers from suppliers will also seriously be considered and may be preferred (not just from car makers)
