The Role

Responsible to the Column Drive ECU Applications Team Leader, you will undertake EPS application design and development activities in a dynamic, multi-project environment focusing on the customer interface, manufacturing support and validation of market leading EPS solutions.
What you ll do

As part of this team, you will develop your expertise in:

Interfacing with global customers in respect of specification capture and compliance analysis
Developing customer specific design solutions within an overall, generic platform concept
Ensuring all designs are validated in accordance with product requirements, including EMC
Supporting building of development samples and undertaking of sample testing, including design and procurement of development test equipment
Generating product, component and test specifications and supporting documentation
Supporting the introduction of EPS ECUs into mass production in electronics plants worldwide
What we are looking for

Essential:
Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
Experience in control electronics design, EMC requirements and design, validation techniques and requirements
A good understanding of electronics components and experience in the processes, assembly techniques and testing involved in the volume manufacture of automotive electronics
Willingness to travel overseas to support customers globally when required

Desirable:
Knowledge and some experience of typical electronic engineering tools (schematic capture, simulation, mathematical analysis)
Ability in a foreign language, such as Mandarin, French, Italian or German
Member of a relevant profession society/institution (e.g. IET)
