Our client supplies Light Utility Vehicles and other project related mobile and power equipment to the Fleet and International Aid and Development Sector, supported by a global after-sales service. The purpose of the Parts Manager (PM) is to act as a catalyst for long term growth and professionalisation of the company`s parts operation and is the link between supplier compliance and best demonstrated practices in parts sales and purchasing. You will also be responsible for financial, customer, internal processes, marketing and HR and organisational development within the department.

The desired candidate will possess in depth knowledge of the automotive trade; truck experience preferable. You will be experienced in Inventory Management Systems and show an aptitude for developing the knowledge database. Experience in dealing in emerging markets in a highly competitive and complex environment will be an asset. You should be able to demonstrate professionalism and should be passionate about performance and developing the success of others. The ability to demonstrate impartiality and logic with business partners and to adhere to the strictest levels of business ethics is essential. You should be able to thrive in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment and maintain a professional relationship with all suppliers whilst seeking new opportunities for better prices and terms. You will ultimately be responsible for all supplier invoices and these must be signed off and approved prior to order and payment to the finance department. You will also oversee the general running of the department with regards to IT, legal and operational and day to day management issues as necessary.

The job location is Holland; the company is Dutch but trades almost entirely on an international basis and conducts most external business in English. Fluency in English is essential; a good working knowledge of Dutch would be a definite advantage. Knowledge of French and/ or other international languages would also be an advantage
