Mechanical / Packaging Fitter
Worthing, West Sussex, England

Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical / Packaging Fitter to operate as member of the packaging engineering team and in accordance with relevant Standard Operating Procedures. To support production targets without compromising quality or safety.
The successful candidate will be responsible:-

To carry out engineering activities by following the appropriate procedures and GMP standard.

Receive and complete routine maintenance, and unplanned breakdown work orders in SAP.

Escalate issues to lead engineer following local escalation process.

Report any safety issues to a team leader (raise and investigate Incident reports as required).

Ensure equipment maintenance and repair is of the highest quality in line with the statutory requirements.

Source and purchase spares for non-stock items.
To ensure all relevant policies and procedures are known, followed and applied as required including:

GMP standards are followed at all times when on site.

All Site safety requirements are followed at all times when on site.

Correct PPE is worn as required.

Training records are kept up to date.

Work areas are kept up to 5s standards.

Time keeping is strictly adhered to start/end of shift and lunch/tea breaks.

Absenteeism is reported in a timely and correct manner.

Holidays with in the policies and ensure TL`s have been informed and approved.
