Design Engineer

£25/hr Limited Co. rate
We are seeking to appoint a Design Engineer on a 12-month contract basis in Leicester.
The Design Engineer will have a varied and exciting role creating new designs from concept through to detailed design ensuring the parts are validated and meet the functional requirements.
The candidate will be responsible for the production release of the parts and expected to work with suppliers to ensure the parts can be manufactured and meet the cost and quality targets.
The successful candidate will need to be flexible and be able to work on multiple areas of the machine i.e. structural fabrications, non-metallic components and cab interior.
Essential qualifications required for the role:
* Engineering / Science Degree or equivalent industry experience
* Machine engineering design experience.
* Computer literate with Pro-E CAD engineering skills
* Experience in designing structural fabrications and non-metallic components.
* Knowledge of Engineering process s, drawing standards, specifications, and Teamcentre workflow is desirable.
* Knowledge and experience of problem solving analysis.
* Experience of Off highway equipment or other heavy machinery
