Our client is a leading technical supplier to the automotive industry, and due to exceptional growth plans and current business requirements, they are looking to appoint a PLM Specialist (Windchill)

  • To configure and administer CAD and PLM Systems (ProE, CATIA and Windchill) e nsuring high availability and optimum performance of the CAD/PLM infrastructure.
  • To provide comprehensive end-user support for all CAD/PLM (and associated) systems and services within agreed Service Level Agreement parameters, or those determined by the IT Manager.
  • To identify, and implement, areas of improvement for both the CAD and PLM systems so as to adhere to accepted best practice principles.
  • Pursue opportunities to integrate PLM data with related business systems (e.g.ERP) and improve reporting.
  • Supporting and/or leading the delivery of planned CAD/PLM and related projects
  • Responsible for the day to day configuration, support and maintenance (administration) of the CAD/PLM systems.
  • Manage the transfer of CAD data with appropriate tools.
  • Manage the integration of CAD data into the PLM system.
  • Manage and lead the review for requirements gathering for on-going development of appropriate PLM processes and tools.
  • Develop, in conjunction with all relevant parts of the business standard data management processes and relevant documentation/training, where necessary.
  • Manage Data transfers between customers and suppliers and co-ordinate data translations.
  • Plan and implement CAD/PLM upgrades when required.
  • Provide the necessary CAD/PLM end-user user support.
  • Provide the necessary CAD/PLM end-user user training.
  • Raise helpdesk calls with software vendors to resolve technical issues and problems when required and develop FAQ knowledge base.
  • Take ownership for the management all CAD/PLM related licensing.
  • Fulfil technical sponsorship requirements, when/where required
