Recognised as a world leader in the design and manufacture of industrial diesel engines our client are currently seeking an APQP Team Leader to support the Global Purchasing function.
APQP Team Leader reporting to the Supplier Quality Manager, you will be tasked with leading a team of 6, targeting proactive quality improvement using such tools as APQP, PPAP, 8D, and Poke Yoke.
The APQP Team Leader will:
Drive collaboration among design engineers, business unit Concurrent Product and Process Development (CPPD) Team Leaders, suppliers and Process Control Engineers for successful New Product Introduction (NPI), re-sourcing and execution of non-NPI design changes.
Provide coordination support during start-up and NPI activities.
Accountability for robust, timely completion of all APQP steps by various internal and external personnel for purchased components and materials for each CPPD team.
Lead the team in addressing current product supplier quality issues, including the review and approval of 8D corrective actions. Emphasis will be placed on step change improvement in supplier process controls to deliver world-class quality.
