My client a market leading company, specialises in low to medium volume manufacture across a variety of industries. Due to a sustained increase in orders they require an experienced Production Planner

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
* Operating within a planning function the main duties will include the day to day planning of material through specific work areas to ensure adherence to the daily and weekly schedules as well as looking at improving the planning process

-Prepare feasible monthly production plan, control and monitor the work in progress and to ensure goods are delivered to customers in time.
- Commit schedule and monitor daily output in order to meet the schedule and achieve plan.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production plan and reports.
- Be able to plan production for a low volume high mix manufacturing company
- Monitor production schedule as per delivery requirement.
- Ensure all processes and products are produced strictly compliance to predetermined quality parameters.
- Ensure the highest efficiency of material usage and labours.
- Close monitoring of material inventory levels
- Involve in implementation of company s policies, procedures and processes and ensure adherence to quality policies and related guidelines/rules.
- Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities

PERSON SPECIFICATION

- Working closely with production teams, the ideal candidate will have a good understanding of production processes
- Candidates should experience of working in a low / medium to volume manufacturing environment with a wide range of products
- They will have excellent organizational skills, be computer literate and have an eye for detail and a desire to improve a process
- A good level of education and demonstrate a desire to develop within a planning function.
- Candidates should be computer literate to include Microsoft office
- The successful candidate has experience using MRP or ERP systems and Excel Spreadsheet
