A Body/Chassis Control Diagnostic Engineer is required to work for our large automotive client based in Dunton, Essex.
Description
Plan, manage and deliver the EESE elements of the Body Chassis control systems diagnostic function for a given control system. Jointly with the PDI teams ensure that the total power train control system diagnostic functionality for a give control system is delivered, integrated and signed off in a robust and timely manner. Liaise closely with all groups external to EESE(i.e. PTSE, FCSD, VO, suppliers) to act as a single point of contact for EESE diagnostics for a given Program (V36x)and ensure that all external diagnostic related requirements are feed into the program and all external deliverables are met. Working with the integration engineers/PDI teams develop a diagnostic delivery plan which supports GPDS and the robust validation of the diagnostics....Continued.
Job Requirements
Working with the PDI teams, PCSE subsystem team and base engine team ensure that supplier led diagnostics are verified and validated for the given system to which they are being applied. Working with the PDI teams, PCSE subsystem team and base engine team and FCSD lead the development of the FTA/diagnostic manual for a given control system. Support FCSD in the development and validation of dealer diagnostics routines/information (WDS/IDS/SBD). Establish legislated diagnostic protocols and data requirements for a given program. Co-ordinate and manage the input of these to project requirements. Work closely with the supplier to ensure that these requirements are correctly understood and delivered. Liaise with all groups external to PTAE to collate and clarify all external diagnostic related requirements (GGDS, software download etc). Details
Validate and sign-off part 2 specs including supporting the review of DTC selection and co-ordinating any necessary input into GMRDB. Work with PDI teams to perform verification testing of the part 2 spec. Support and review third party validation testing and lead any follow up actions. Support reviews of diagnostics change requests and work with integration teams to raise/track DCR.
Experience Required:
CAN / LIN knowledge and basic CAN tools.
Experience Preferred:
Diagnostic protocols knowledge of ISO 14229 and or KWP2000.
Education Required:
Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
