A Project Manager engine/powertrain technologies required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in the West Midlands.
Description
Position Description:
The Project Manager is responsible for management and delivery of engine/powertrain technology projects to a concept readiness maturity level to support handover to the production program teams. They will be the key interface between the engine & powertrain system development teams, ensuring the program is delivered on time to the appropriate quality standards and feeding back the results to the management team.
Job Requirements
Skills Required:
Self driven with a strong engineering background, excellent team working skills and an understanding of Product Development processes.
Skills Preferred:
Good analytical skills & PC skills, Excel, Word and Project. Working knowledge of gasoline and / or diesel engine, powertrain systems and calibration. Disciplined approach on planning, prioritisation and records keeping. Desirable to have valid driving license for use in the UK.

Experience Required:
Demonstrate the ability to lead the resolution of technical, business and process issues within a team environment. Good communication, interpersonal skills and self confidence are personal qualities needed to succeed, being self motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision.
Experience Preferred:
Previous experience of Engine and Powertrain systems are required. A knowledge of vehicle systems would be beneficial.
Education Required:
Educated to degree level in a suitable engineering discipline or suitable previous experience.
