Our client is involved in the design and manufacture of high-performance diesel engines. As Purchasing Analyst you will be joining a team of 7 and will be supporting the direct material spend for the site.

You will provide leadership for sourcing for locally managed spend categories, implement sourcing strategies for strategically managed spend categories, undertake cost control, including implementing low cost country sourcing opportunities, manage a number of key supplier relationships, identify and implement cost reduction opportunities with key suppliers, effectively manage day to day operational issues and also manage NPI to deliver business unit objectives. Additionally, you will interface with Business Unit partners, drive local compliance to negotiated source strategies, provide purchasing support to other functions for tactical issues, track Supplier Performance and provide feedback to the wider business and manage local supplier relationships and development.

Experience is preferred in purchasing, logistics, manufacturing, sales and/or engineering. The position requires an undergraduate degree from a college or university or equivalent experience and someone who is a strong negotiator, able to interpret, analyse and negotiate cost elements. You must have analytical, problem solving and project leadership skills, be an effective communicator, in written and oral form, fluent in English and able to effectively communicate with people across the business where English is the second language. Well-developed interpersonal skills are required in dealing with sensitive issues, developing others and reaching consensus on specific actions.
