Bid Manager / Proposals Manager (P/T)

£30k - 40k per year + 35-40k pro rata
This is a PART TIME role in the Bid support function working Mondays, Fridays and one other day (which the successful candidate can choose to suit them).
The company currently supplies electronic systems to the aerospace industry for both civil and defence applications. This is a permanent, part-time position. The role is responsible for responding to requests for price (RFPs) and proposal management, mainly within the OE side of the business.
The Sales Operations Specialist provides direction and assistance to a work group in order to meet assigned objectives. The Sales Operations Specialist will work with Sales and Program Managers and Engineering Technical Leads to ensure the proposal process is implemented in a timely fashion working to remove all issues that impede the progress of on-time delivery to the customer while ensuring compliance with process and customer requirements. You will expedite momentum bids to ensure On-time delivery and committed turn-around-time, lead bid status reviews to prioritize activities and provide assistance as required, provide back-up for sales and program managers,
maintain and monitor proposal budget, facilitate approvals, ensure job analysis is completed and distributed on time and co-ordinate pricing for the proposal
A Bachelors degree or similar level of knowledge and experience is required, preferably a Bachelor`s degree in Engineering.
Additional experience working in field activities, Sales Support or Sales Force is preferred ideally within Aviation and you must be familiar with proposal development processes, have excellent communication skills, leadership/management experience,
proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and business development experience.
