A Specialist Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Gaydon, Warwickshire.

Description
Working on Air Suspension, Automatic Ride Control (ARC) & eDamping systems
Due to the complexity of the systems and the interactions with the vehicle, (primarily, electrical, body & suspension inputs) it is necessary to objectively investigate the performance of the components & systems ensuring they workias designed & modelled.
This includes ensuring the functionality of all key PLA, SST Active components (e.g. compressors, valve blocks etc.) are functioning on vehicles as anticipated from component testing (i.e. response times, current draws, running speeds, valve responses & NVH) and that there are no adverse interactions within the systems or with other vehicle systems e.g. electrical/electronics.

Job Requirements
Skills Required:
Must have a good technical understanding of at least 2 of the following systems: ARC, Air Suspension, edamping.
Must be familiar with instrumenting & objectively testing both complex components and systems.
Must have a good rounded knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems.
Must be good at working within a team environment & working with component engineers & vehicle development engineers.

Details
Experience Required:
Must have Air Suspension experience.
Must be competent in dealing with both Mechanical & Electrical systems.
Must be experience in the use and setting up of instrumentation.

Education Required:
Minimum of Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
