A Project Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Essex.
Description
Position Description:
Lead investigations into engine or component failures at engine or vehicle plant or in the field. Coordinate rig or vehicle testing to understand or resolve field issue. Carry out projects to develop improved field diagnosis methods. Coordinate failed part returns to the appropriate location and follow up with supplier for reports.
Job Requirements
Skills Required:
Must be self-motivated and have good team working skills ability to resolve issues using appropriate quality tools and techniques e.g. FMEA, 8D etc. PC skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and database applications.
Skills Preferred:
Ability to work within multi-brand multi-cultural team. Enthusiasm for product excellence. Prepared to travel within Europe as appropriate.
Details
Experience Required:
Good experience of common rail diesel engine components and systems.
Experience Preferred:
Prior experience in OEM powertrain.
Education Required:
Candidates who possess a degree level qualification in a relevant discipline will be preferred.
