A Project Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Gaydon, Warwickshire.
Description
Project Engineer - SWaT Reporting to: Group Leader HPAS and Puncture Management Support and/or Key Interfaces.
To provide engineering support to deliver new products, current engineering, and TVM actions.
Job Requirements
Skills Required:
The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the following skills:
Engineering Design;
Management of engineering sign off test and validation plans;
A proven approach to achieving quality objectives through the application of design quality tools, FMEA etc;
Good team-working, communication and interpersonal skills;
Comprehensive ability to work with office IT applications and manage large numbers of records in different formats.
Skills Preferred:
Knowledge of derived product development processes (e.g. GPDS) is a significant advantage. Knowledge of WERS, eFDVS and Quality Tools (e.g. FMEA) is desirable.
Experience in Chassis is an advantage.
Details
Experience Required:
Experience working in Chassis Engineering for an OEM or Tier 1 Supplier.
Experience of delivering engineering components.
Experience in Steering Wheels and Tyres environment.
Experience Preferred:
Component or system design using 6-sigma tools.
Catia V5 and Teamcentre
Education Required:
Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent experience and have a working knowledge of engineering disciplines that will be recognised by our client.
