An Catia V5 Exterior/Interior Designer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Gaydon, Warwickshire.
Description
The Specialist Design Engineer is responsible for creating, revising release CAD geometry, specifications and delivery of niche & high line ETO exterior, interior, functional & accessory components or sub systems. Liaison with the other engineering team members, programme team, suppliers, manufacturing and purchasing, etc.
Job Requirements
Skills Required:
CATIA 5 good working knowledge and experience, Team Centre experience.
Skills Preferred:
Knowledge of WERS releasing system, VisMockup.
Details
Experience Required:
CAD model generation, package evaluation, detail CAD geometry creation and releasing. Mechanical engineering.
Experience Preferred:
Automotive engineering, Experience of relevant components and systems and materials and production processes used in the manufacture of the components. Experience of product change systems. Knowledge of GPDS project management process. Exterior trim and hardware, Interior hardware & low volume components. Mechanisms & functional components (side steps, winch, protection etc).
Education Required:
Candidates must have a minimum of HNC/HND in relevant field, ideally educated to Degree level.
Applicants MUST have proof of immediate and valid eligibility to work full time in the UK.
