Safety Advisor/Specialist
Oxford, Oxfordshire, England
Our client is a leading prestige automotive manufacturer and is looking to recruit a safety advisor/specialist to support their operations.
The individual will be supporting an OHSAS 18001 implementation programme and two major new equipment and facilities installations.
Experience of 18001 implementation and large scale machinery upgrade installation projects would be an advantage.
The individual would be qualified with a NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
Ideally they would be CMIOSH and have a background in engineering.
Safety related project management experience is vital.
As the role will involve supporting a number of locations across the UK a driving license will be essential. The role will be based at either Oxford or Birmingham.
Key skills and competencies for the role will be:
Self-motivated with the drive to take on and complete assigned projects
Effective team player
Good interpersonal skills able to deal with and influence individuals at all levels in the organisation
Knowledge and experience of 18001 implementation programmes
Safety related project management ideally gained within an engineering environment
