The Manufacturing Engineering Group of Ford Motor Company's Powertrain Operations require an Electrical Engineer

Description
Ford Motor Company's Powertrain Operations require an Electrical Engineer to work within their Manufacturing Engineering Group based in Essex.
The Electrical and Controls Engineer will be required to provide engineering support to the Controls Team to ensure that quality, cost and timing objectives are achieved with robust processes and product.


Job Requirements
As the Electrical Engineer you will participate in engineering activities with new model programs team.
Work with key suppliers and machine builders to ensure equipment is delivered to specification
Work with the installation teams to ensure program timing is met with regard to machine safety acceptance and CE marking
Participate in cross functional team orientated problem solving Additional duties and travel as required
Provide assistance to customer plants as required to support volume and quality improvement


Details
The successful candidate will hold an engineering degree with a minimum 2:2 and have experience in a manufacturing or related activity and will possess the following skills:
A high level of motivation, initiative and creativity
Ability to work with a diverse team of Engineers, Vendors and Contractors in both Manufacturing Engineering and the Customer Plant
A flexible approach to cope with frequent change
Knowledge of quality tools, such as G8D & FMEA
Ability to prioritise tasks & manage a demanding workload
Computer literacy is essential, preferred packages to include Word, Excel & Microsoft Project
Experience in Electrical Controls or Fluidics drawing approval and large-scale facilities installation
Familiarity with European and North American Electrical Standards applicable to machine construction and safety
Willingness to undertake long-term assignments in Customer Plants located in Asia, Eastern Europe and South America
