Basic Function
Primary function will be to provide new product development design and development support for engine installation for new Tier 4 after-treatment systems. Utilize product knowledge and customer application background for Pro-e design of exhaust and after-treatment systems and components. Design and analysis of these parts is required to insure that they meet targets for reliability, performance, and cost on the established program timelines. Must be capable of creating 3-D designs using Pro-e CAD system. Create designs, produce drawings, make engineering release into bill of materials, order prototype parts, provide guidance to test and evaluation, and provide support to purchasing in supplier selection and tooling.

Working under the direction of a project engineer(s), you will create new design for engine systems and exhaust system packages. Work will directly impact cost and reliability of global construction product lines having annual sales of greater than $0.5 billion.
Requirements
Knowledge of engines, cooling, exhaust, after-treatment, and intake systems and components is desired.
Engineering degree is essential, and knowledge and experience with engine and engine systems in mobile equipment. Previous track record in design with cost reduction results is desirable, with related experience desirable.
Experience of Pro-e CAD system is essential. The use and an understanding of SAP systems advantageous.
Good communication skills and ability to work with suppliers and the platform teams to achieve design results is required. Knowledge of engineering standards and procedures (FMEA s, design reviews, and etc) desired. Knowledge of engines, cooling systems, exhaust systems, intake systems, and their application to off-highway equipment desirable.
Experience and knowledge of tier 4 off highway emissions requirements and after-treatment design and selection would be beneficial.
