Engineering Buyer

My client part of an International Group, with a very strong engineering reputation globally, they have achieved a record order book in the previous year, and projections an improvement this year
-Offer comprehensive design and manufacturing facilities
-Specialise in the bespoke project and manufacture of large heavy plant for various industry sectors, including Power Generation, Nuclear and Utilities
Main Duties
-Responsible for competitively sourcing a wide range or good and products
-Will be responsible for raw materials, engineering equipment and consumables
-Should have experience of working in a specialist engineering environment
-Contribute to the performance of the Purchasing department
-Expected to work on number of projects at any time due to the amount and scope of Projects ongoing
-Will be expected to react to and plan for the needs of a very busy engineering department working on a variety to Turnkey Projects
Key skills and experience
-Candidates should have experience of working in Buying/ Purchasing role within an Engineering or Manufacturing company
-Ideally candidates would have an Engineering background or strong understand
-Purchasing qualification preferred but not essential
-Experience of working on special Projects or Turnkey systems preferred
