We are recruiting for a Senior Development Research Engineer on a 6-month contract based in Peterborough.

As Senior Development Research Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of new and existing products and components. Exercises independent judgment with little to no direction from supervisor

In pursuit of new product introduction vacancies have arisen for various design engineers. Areas of opportunity exist within hydraulics, structures, light fabrications, non metallic`s and powertrain disciplines. This position is one of several professional staff engineers reporting to an Engineering Supervisor.

Primary responsibilities include:
* Application of latest proven tools in the design and analysis of welded fabrications and castings.
* Producing designs from concept to production drawings which comply with all engineering and regulatory requirements
* Conducting technical evaluations and assessments of competitive product
* Analysing, identifying and applying engineering techniques to solve problems and make recommendations

Background / Experience:
The following skills and experience are required for this posting:
* An engineering degree, or equivalent experience 3 - 5 Years experience in progressive engineering assignments in a relevant field.
* Excellent analytical skills
* ProEngineer modeling and detailing skills.
* Experience of problem solving techniques.
* Understanding of customer's needs.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills
* Must be self motivated, flexible and able to work in a team environment
* Good communication skills

Education/Experience:
* University degree or equivalent in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science or Materials Science curriculum.
* Advanced degree - preferred and Previous design experience required.
