Trim Engineer
Oxfordshire, England
Our client is a leading prestige automotive manufacturer and is looking for an Interior and Exterior Trim Engineer to primarily focus on the integration of new vehicle projects into the assembly process.
Ensure the new engineering concepts for the product can be integrated with existing or planned vehicle build processes
Management of build problem landscape and to effectively mature the product and processes up to start of production and beyond - requires steering of network involving design engineers, supplier quality and production
Evaluation of prototype builds to identify build concerns and drive solutions
Use of CAD DMU tools to evaluate design condition and establish root cause of deviations from nominal standard
Engineering background - preferably education to degree level
Practical, hands on person
Proficient in design for assembly/manufacture methods
Proficient with CAD, ideally Catia V5
Good understanding of geometric alignment and functionality
Proficient in the use of quality tools e.g. Whys, Ishikawa, SPC
