We require a Supply Chain 6Sigma Black Belt to work on a permanent contract.
Job Details:
As with all 6 Sigma Black Belts, individuals in these roles will be asked to train and lead improvement project teams. After completion of their training, Level One Black Belts should be capable of leading projects with an average savings per project of $150,000 and concurrently lead 1-3 projects of this magnitude.
Specific requirements of the position include: lead projects, measure results, recruit and train team members, integrate improvement actions, communicate, provide quantitative data demonstrating project impact. Lead projects where the subject focus and solutions are moderately complex in nature, availability, and attainability. Project leadership includes identifying opportunities, defining and financially justifying projects, launching project teams, using good project management to manage team activities, using the suite of 6 Sigma tools, tracking project status and results, removing and elevating project barriers, and developing team members. It is also critical to identify integration issues with other projects/processes and coordinate the improvements with the appropriate project/process owners to accomplish the project goals.
Background / Experience:
The successful candidate must be a results-oriented change agent who is an effective business systems thinker. Must be able to manage risk and ambiguity on a project.
The following skills and experience are required for this posting:
Degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Engineering or Business, or an equivalent level of work experience
3+ years of applicable experience (prior supervisory experience is a plus)
Project management skills and team leadership
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Knowledge of other functions that provide inputs regularly, such as: Operations, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality.
Must have the ability to learn and do statistical analysis and have basic computer skills.
