A Scheduling Planner is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Gaydon, Warwickshire.

Vehicle Proveout Scheduling - Scheduling Planner

Role Purpose-
To ensure the success of VP prototype schedule planning key activities related to Schedule Creation & Maintenance to support VP Build. Content Scope will cover all VP prototype scheduling activities including liaising with Program Teams.

Job Requirements
Responsible for communication to / from the project team. Seek guidance with peers or management on issues that they cannot confidently answer. Provide a daily status for the programme team / schedule coordinators. Define specific delivery milestones for VP build phase and obtain concurrence from Programme team. Use current Prototype Scheduling Program (currently GPIRS). Plan & lead & drive VP BOM & Spec Validation. Ensure that Releases are made for VP effective point. Ensure minimal Manual BOM Intervention is carried out (should be the exception). Use Web Based Investigation / Data Down load tools to aid Engineers with resolving issues. Use Excel Spreadsheets to record status of BOM. Use V-Look Up tools within Excel. Create & develop Master Pro Forma`s / look up sheet masters. Download latest BOM daily and save to relevant shared. Effectively plan resource and facilities for scheduling activities. Maintain / provide inputs to Workload Plan / VP Schedule Status.

Details
Skills Required:
Programme management skill set. OEM working methodologies understanding, timing, release, launch and build activities.

Skills Preferred:
Good working knowledge of OEM systems & processes - with specific reference to GPIRS, WERS, & Release.

Experience Required:
Automotive

Experience Preferred:
Previous programme management / planning / excellent Excel Spreadsheet & Data management skills.

Education Preferred:
Degree
