This company leads the world in integrated engine and powertrain solutions from clean sheet design concept through castings, manufacture and vehicle installation to calibration, onboard diagnostics and telemetry.
To support the Engine Test Department in the organisation of maintenance systems for the department, plus detailed proposals for improvements to mechanical equipment and test facility installation. This requires the measurement of the current facilities performance and specifying the required standard needed to support current and future projects, plus drawing up plans for improvements and upgrades within an agreed timescale/budget.

• To review test bed inefficiencies and shortcomings highlighted by Concerns and other investigations
• To specify, in conjunction with the Test Group, a minimum standard of measurement ability acceptable for the test beds.
• To work with the Test Facility Senior Principal Engineer to improve the technical capability of the Test Facility, present this to other relevant departments via the Test Group
• To
  educate/encourage best use of the Department equipment, plus give a better sense of ownership and personal responsibility for the quality of test data produced.
• To manage any day-to-day problems with internal projects and design issues related installations.
• To work with the test bed Design team in specifying and commissioning new pieces of equipment.
• To investigate and implement the best ways of using the current equipment installed in the test beds.
• To assist in investigating test bed problems that arise during the course of testing.
• To advise the test-bed planners and projects on the suitability of the facilities available for specific testing.
• To highlight areas where equipment is inadequate for the current project requirements.
