Senior Quality Engineer - West Midlands (GSI-102055)

Apply now

Senior Quality Engineer
West Midlands, England

Manufacturing business involved in the manufacture of high volume precision components. They have had a significant growth period over the last 8 months which has led to repeat business from key clients.

They have aggressive expansion plans for the next year and one of the best factory/shopfloor facilities that I have seen. A very methodical firm that are moving up at the right pace and certainly one with a reputation that can only be enhanced by their work.

The firm take materials and chemically clean them, and then move them into manufacture for very high precision components; they typically work on products less then 1.5mm.

This role will work in tandem with the current Quality Manager in a "right hand man" capacity; you`ll need to have demonstrable experience as a Quality Engineer and experienced in PPAP and MSA in particular. The team consists of around 10 staff at this moment and they are a good performing team (including the CMM staff) against their targets; you must have experience of delivering results to KPI`s as well. Key skills such as the implementation/utilisation of 5Y and 8D techniques as well as working towards ISO and TS16949 standards.

This role is in fast paced hands on environment; they aren`t looking for a process only person who can only write procedures for the firm to follow. They need a person that can help the existing staff understand new Quality methodology, implement it and coach/mentor the staff through the changes; a very challenging role that will allow you to develop the team with the Quality Manager.

This is a permanent opportunity with an immediate start; salary is to be discussed and submission stage. Benefits include holiday, pension and quarterly bonus scheme depending monitored by KPI`s.

This role is currently on a day shift but it is likely that it may change to shifts; the shifts being 0600-1400 and 1400-2200 so you must be available to work those hours.
