SQA Engineer

My client designs, tests and manufactures bespoke interior products for the aviation industry.

The product development will involve all aspects of styling, engineering, designing, testing, procurement, assembly and delivery of the final product.
To pro-actively develop through SQA activity a stable robust Supply Chain capable of consistently delivering parts and assemblies to the right quality, on time and at the right cost.
To develop, promote and mentor the processes required both at the supplier and to underpin a Right First Time Quality culture.
To take a lead in working with design and program management to ensure seamless NPI (New Product Introduction).
To identify and act upon opportunities for cost reduction/ quality improvement with the supplier.

• Develop close working relationships with supplier personnel at all appropriate levels.
• Work pro-actively with my clients suppliers and the Quality and Purchasing functions to ensure parts are delivered on time at the agreed cost and to the required quality.
• Monitor and report Supplier Quality Performance to relevant supplier Management. Take actions as required to drive improved performance.
• Encourage and participate in the use of Quality tools and techniques with the suppliers as appropriate. Provide training in these tools and techniques as required.
• Mentor SQA, Inspection and all my clients relevant personnel in the processes, quality tools required to support the Right First Time Quality culture.
• Resolve Quality issues attributed to supplier error.
  
  
  
  `Must have` experience:
  
  Minimum of 2 years experience in a SQA Engineering or similar supplier foscused role.
  
  Knowledge of AS9100 QMS requirments and regulatory awareness of EASA
  
  Relevant experience developing NPI process with suppliers
