As Project Engineer (Systems), you will be responsible for the design of advanced electronically controlled brake systems and sub-systems. Responsibilities will include the specification, design and evaluation of electronic hardware used in commercial vehicle applications as well as the specification of the full software life cycle.
Responsibilities:-
- To develop system concepts for commercial vehicles and drive system and component specifications
- To model system performance behaviour
- To model component operation including software elements and drive functional specifications
- To support engineers from other disciplines in system development and testing
- Creation of product and components requirement specifications
- Proposal and evaluation of electronics hardware design concepts
- Provide specifications to allow design and development of electronic circuits and Black box design.
- Perform SFMEA and DFMEA studies.
- Provide technical support through the complete product life cycle.
- Generation of a technical product document to allow for the end user installation and service manuals to be compiled
- Perform job functions in accordance with set policies and procedures to ensure preservation of Company Quality Policy
- Goal oriented self motivation

Degree qualified in an engineering, physical or mathematical discipline, you will have a strong understanding of mathematical model based design techniques as well as a strong understanding of vehicle dynamics.

You will have proven skills and knowledge of using CAE tools for dynamic systems analysis as well as an appreciation of (Current) commercial vehicle systems.

You will have an appreciation of the requirements of real time systems and a general understanding of C-programming, compilers and linkers.
