This company designs and manufactures articulated dumper trucks for the quarry and construction sector worldwide. This site employs 700 people and is undergoing significant investment in both manufacturing processes and office facilities.
We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer who enjoys working with NPI projects and has done so before, ideally within the automotive industry. The role will encompass the introduction of the new products through development and design (APQP) whilst identifying process improvements (bottlenecks) and offering solutions to the problems. A very hands on lean/continual improvement based role where you'll offer technical support to the wider manufacturing facility and use your knowledge to help other staff including junior ME's.
It will involve some budgetary accountability (purchasing of machine tools) with a view to increase efficiency and maximise output. The role is suitable for a forward thinking and hands on person who thrives in a challenging environment and has exceptional organisational skills. Management experience is not essential but would be a benefit to your application, overall a challenging role with a very good company.
