Transmission Rig Test Engineer.
Working in a small team to provide robust and effective test environment for delivery of Powertrain transmission test requirements. Role will include design of test installations, set up of control hardware and software and review of test data to monitor and report test progress. Use of post test analysis tools to provide test history, trace and data files.

Skills Required:
- Understanding of the concepts of Powertrain and transmission testing.
- Thorough knowledge of test rig installations and support systems and ability to configure test rig facilities for a variety of transmission test requirements.
- Thorough knowledge of both diesel and petrol engine test rig facilities / equipment and ability to set up as required.
- Experience of CAD design and ability to produce basic 2D drgs for test rig components. Understanding and knowledge of Powertrain test control systems.
- Ability to translate vehicle test procedures into rig test sequences.

Skills Preferred:
Knowledge and understanding of dynomometers, motors and control systems (inc CP Cadet test sequences) Working knowledge of control programming. Understanding of robot systems and robot control software. Understanding of plant and machinery system control.

Experience Required:
Experience of engine test in a Product Development environment, knowledge of transmission test and experience of Microsoft Office packages.

Experience Preferred:
Experience of Transmission and / or drive line testing. Experience of Visual Basic for applications.

Education Required:
Engineering Degree
