Manufacturing Engineer-Aerospace-CNC Background Essential
Leicester, Leicestershire, England

The firm are seeking a person who has worked on the shop floor in an aerospace manufacturing environment, coming from a CNC or ME background, your role will be to sign off drawings of engines parts (blades, disks and casings) from a manufacturability viewpoint.

The main aspects of the role are to liaise with the Manufacturing Engineers in relation to materials or components (estimating the cost of forging, machining prototypes) and then source the items that they need to increase production (nickel alloys in particular). The Manufacturing Engineering from an Aerospace company is essential as the company are solely aerospace providers.

The other aspects of the job are of sourcing the materials locally, it will involve liaising with suppliers for the best price available and measuring their performance against agreed KPI's. Experience of these elements are not pre requisites as they can be taught, a willingness to learn these skills is paramount though as the successful candidate will be working almost independently. It's a great opportunity to learn new techniques whilst retaining the Manufacturing Engineering role, ultimately you will be working on a new test rig for the firm.

Educational requirements are a minimum of a HND/HNC in engineering, apprentice trained (Toolmaking or CNC) would be very sought after too, this role is a very interesting and challenging with an opportunity to develop the role how you see fit at a later date. It's based on days and a good salary.

Your CV will be forwarded to Jonathan Lee Recruitment, a leading engineering and manufacturing recruitment consultancy established in 1978. The services advertised by Jonathan Lee Recruitment are those of an Employment Agency.
