Principal Safety & Reliability Engineer - exiciting opportunity for an Engineer with Mechanical bias to lead safety and reliability engineering with this leader in the Aerospace market. The role is commutable from Birmingham, Telford, Cannock, Wolverhampton and Kidderminster.
You will have specialist reliability and safety knowledge and deploy reliability and safety expertise and advice across a wide variety of projects and be responsible for ensuring that the engineering design meets the reliability and safety requirements in the most effective and efficient manner.
The Principal Safety and Reliability is responsible for providing expert engineering support to the Value Stream; working with mechanical and electromechanical systems. This includes working as part of a multifunction project team to develop the system and product designs to achieve the optimum balance of reliability and safety.
Candidates will have an Engineering / mathematics background with an excellent knowledge of Safety and Reliability engineering with Mechanical bias from Defence/Aerospace environment. Knowledge of Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) are ESSENTIAL and the ability to understand and analyse systems at unit and detail design level.
