A Component Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Dunton, Basildon, Essex.

Component Engineer - Bottom End Systems
Skills Required:
As Cylinder Block Engineer you will be principally responsible for the design, development, sign-off and release of small & medium high pressure die cast components into production.
Job Requirements
Candidates R&R`s:
•Knowledge of HPDC design.
•Knowledge of structural engine components.
•Knowledge of casting processes and materials as well as process control technologies.
•Knowledge of machining techniques and technologies as well as tolerance design.
•Ability to interpret CAE and CFD analysis data to determine impact on the geometry of castings.
•Development and maintenance of rigorous work plans that co-ordinate the efforts of foundries together with machining activities to ensure program delivery commitments are met.

Skills Preferred:
Must be proficient in Outlook, WERS, Excel, Word etc. Must be able to handle a varied work load within tight time constraints. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to operate within a diverse team environment.
Experience Required:
Experience in a similar discipline.
Experience Preferred:
Knowledge of OEM AIMS and E-Tracker systems.
Applicants MUST have proof of immediate and valid eligibility to work full time in the UK.
