Design Engineer

Established in the UK for almost 30 years and looking to maintain and bolster its position with a number of key appointments, we are looking for a Design Engineer. Working in a challenging but collaborative environment with a complex, technically innovative product for some of the largest and most successful automotive OEMs in the world.
As Design Engineer, you will support new programmes in CAD Engineering role.
Key responsibilities: -
* Using C3P Ideas, CATIA V5, for both drafting and modelling.
* Design and produce detail and assembly drawings using tolerance studies to ensure robust designs.
* Ensure appropriate CAD design analysis tools are used and modifications made in line with change control requirements.
Ensuring all activities are effectively achieved to meet the full requirements of the OEM.
* Adhering to timing plans and design milestones. Responsible for creating and maintaining design FMEA s. Must be able to use problem solving techniques to prevent the recurrence
of problems.
Qualified by experience or qualified to degree level in an Engineering Function (particularly Design). You will be able to undertake detailed CAD and Project Engineering role within automotive 1st tier industry
supplying direct to OEM customer. A general technical knowledge of product design, manufacturing, engineering and process would
be required. Experience in large complex assemblies would be beneficial.
