A Fuel Systems Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Gaydon, Warwickshire.
Description
Position Description:
To work within a small team of engineers leading the design, delivery and validation of new fuel tanks into Production. Working with interfacing departments and suppliers to develop concept designs into viable volume production fuel tanks, ensuring compliance with all fuel system component strategies, design standards and all relevant safety and emissions legislation.
Job Requirements
Skills Required:
Knowledge of fuel tank design, function and manufacturing processes. Proven experience of engineering design and release activities. Experience of working with suppliers to deliver new products into production. Excellent communication and planning skills. Proactive mindset. Good PC skills including Microsoft Office and MS Project.
Skills Preferred:
Working knowledge of APQP processes. Working knowledge of OEM Product Development systems. Full driving license.
Details
Experience Required:
Experience of Automotive Engineering and component delivery. Experience and proven record of Project Management. Experience of WERS/AIMS systems is an advantage but not essential.
Experience Preferred:
Ideally familiar with APQP/Launch readiness process, GPDS & supplier PSW deliverables.
Education Required:
An HND or Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
