Our client is a world leader in the innovation, design and manufacture of Diesel Fuel Injection equipment. With many years of experience in the Fuel Injection Market.



They are looking to recruit an Electronics Hardware Engineer to facilitate in the development of electronics for real-time electronic engine controller systems used to control fuel injection equipment in light/medium duty diesel applications.
The roles main duties will be drawn from the following:

Part of a team responsible for development of customer specific ECU application(s).

Capture customer requirements and generate specifications to manage the ECU supplier.

Directly Support customer programme activities e.g. EMC conformance testing, FMEA, project reviews etc.

Test and debug ECU installations both at Client and customer sites

Bench testing of prototype ECUs as part of customer acceptance program including documenting test work.

Design and develop prototype circuits for future FIE systems
Self motivation, attention to detail and ability to work unsupervised
Educated to degree level (or higher) in Electronic or Electrical Engineering.

Proven experience of developing digital, analogue and PSU circuitry, also the fundamental elements of real time systems and an appreciation of the ECU`s role in the wider automotive system.

Familiarity of real world automotive interfaces e.g. solenoids, motors, pressure and temperature sensors would be an advantage as would an appreciation of automotive environments including transient electrical events.

A familiarity with diesel engine systems would be advantageous in this role.
