Global Automotive Tier 1 Manufacturer with a turnover in excess of 2bn, established in the UK for nearly 2 decades and looking to maintain and bolster market positioning with a number of key appointments. Working in a challenging but collaborative environment with a complex, technically innovative product for some of the largest and most successful automotive OEMs in the world.
Co-ordinating a multi-disciplined project team, the Project Manager will be responsible for delivering and organising projects from initial planning through to delivery and also responsible for ensuring that the projects are completed within a set timeline, to cost and to the agreed standard.

Responsible for introducing new projects, taking them from the early stages of design through to the successful introduction into production as well as managing ongoing design/model year changes during series production.

This will involve close liaison with the customer, suppliers and the coordination of internal engineering resources.
Likely candidate experience will include;

Managing new products into production.
Working in the automotive industry with project leadership experience of multi-disciplinary teams in a manufacturing environment.
Some experience of engineering/process improvement would be advantageous.
Experience of APQP and FMEA processes.
A varied technical knowledge of engineering.
Familiarity with budgeting and project planning.
Problem solving skills, 6 Sigma, 8D, 5Y, etc.

Relevant HNC / HND qualification desired
