Our Client designs, develops, and manufactures powertrain components for use within the motorsport industry. They are currently seeking to recruit a KERS Coordinator on a 2 year fixed term contract basis.

The individual will be responsible for creating and maintaining the KERS specification documents for Long Run, Track Test and Race, ensuring hardware is built to the correct specification, available for use when required and updates/changes are accurately controlled.


Role Responsibilities to include:

1) Maintenance of the Specification Meeting Documents:
a) Add/remove KERS hardware from the document as appropriate according to the TLKP
b) Add relevant information from DPS/HPS/PRS ECN releases
c) Distribute agenda and minutes for the meeting
d) Lead the Specification Meeting and chase any actions resulting from it (i.e. outstanding ECNs)

2) Create Engine Requests derived from the Specification Meeting minutes.

3) Ensure the parts are available to support the desired engine specification and build schedule or adjust the specification if required
a) Liaise with Planning in the case of new parts and kit alignment
b) Liaise with the Re-use group within build in the case of second hand parts
c) Feedback to Engineering where appropriate when parts are not available to meet the desired build schedule
d) Ensure that the ER and kit documents are kept in line with any changes
e) Chase Concessions through Engineering sign off
f) Coordinate the specification of Red Dot items

4) Act as point of contact between Assembly and Engineering to resolve build quality, schedule and specification issues.

5) Provide relevant engine specification data to Trackside for each event


Qualifications, Experience Required:

* Build specification management
* Motorsport Powertrain Build/Strip experience (engines, HV electronic systems)
* Engine/KERS use and logistics in testing and racing (Rig, Dyno, Trackside etc)
* Working with Engineers and Engineering Drawings as required to ensure spec requirements are satisfied
* Computer literate (preferred F1 database experience, SAP knowledge, competent in Excel)
