Senior Quality Engineer-Aerospace

Our client is a world leading manufacturer of cabin interior products for commercial passenger aircraft and business jets, as well as, a wide range of cabin interior design, reconfiguration and certification services, including the conversion of passenger aircraft to freighter use.
The Snr Quality Engineer role will work in house whilst liaising with suppliers and the SQE team in relation to NPI; principally you`ll be working on the new A350 project to include working with the first article team. You`ll be reporting to the Process Manager developing and managing new quality procedures whilst being the focal point for the customer with any quality related requirements.
The role will be working in the structures department and you`ll need previous experience in the Aerospace sector working towards AS9100, ISO 9000 and Part 145 standards; the role is predominantly working with NPI. The firm are looking for a person with strong 8D and 5S usage and, ideally, knowledge in continual improvement methodology also.
The culture of the team is very much continuous improvement and embodies a teambuilding ethos as you`ll regularly be coordinating with other departments and specialist teams. Day to day activities will be to support the site Quality Manager and to audit the standards within the company.
