Systems Engineer - Brakes

An exciting opportunity to join a world-class team, responsible for delivering Electric Park Brake (EPB) Systems for a prestigious volume vehicle manufacturer.
One of the world s largest producers of Braking systems and products supplying a wide range of vehicle manufacturers including VW, Toyota, Ford, GM, Mercedes, Peugeot, Renault, Fiat and more locally Jaguar/ LandRover, Honda and Nissan.
What you ll do
Plan vehicle test work to meet customer and internal timing milestones and cost
Planning and organising vehicle build including both brake/instrumentation requirement from overall project plan initially and throughout DVP.
Develop Foundation braking systems and the effect on dynamic vehicle performance both on road and test track conditions both in UK, Europe and Far East
Measurement and assessment of brake performance against internal and customer standards
Interpret and analyse results, recommending system improvements where necessary or possible within timeframe and cost
Presentation of results in both written and verbal format internally and to customer project team if and when required
What we are looking for
Essential:
Educated to engineering degree standard
3 years minimum experience in vehicle test/ brake testing and/ or dynamics
Behavioural and personality characteristics consistent with significant customer exposure
Excellent and proven project planning, management and communication skills
Experience of vehicle hydraulic systems with excellent problem solving ability
Willingness to travel
Desirable:
Flexibility in managing work tasks in a fast paced role
Ability to work with most MS Office applications but especially Excel, Project
Ability to learn internal software tools
Knowledge of electro-hydraulic systems
