Senior Project Engineer - Solidworks Based

This is a very friendly medium sized firm with it`s roots in the Midlands; they design, manufacture and produce key components for several industries.
The facility is accessible by car and public transport; they have a very good working ethos and support in each other in the work they undertake. Their trade is predominantly metals with metal cutting machinery as well as CNC and traditional tools.
Working within the Technical team, this role will be a design based role mainly (Solidworks/AutoCAD) to include creating your own designs (detailed drawings) whilst liaising the customer. The firm have a backlog of CAD work, so that will be the principle element in the role straight away.
You`ll need to be proficient using the CAD systems above and ne happy to work with minimal supervision; you`ll also need have be confident chatting with the end users about your designs and their functionality.
This is a full lifecycle role so experience in the manufacturing/production sectors is a pre requisite; if you have experience in the fabrication, rubber moulding or precision metal processing, this role would be perfect for you.
