Reliability Engineer
Oxford, Oxfordshire, England

We are looking for an Reliability Engineer to provide leadership, processes, and technical support to manufacturing operations facilitating assets to operate in a safe, effective and efficient manner. Steer the management of optimum asset life from concept to disposal through effective maintenance management. Lead operational and business asset risk identification, management and improvement
Continuously develop maintenance processes and strategies including the associated SAP PM module.
Implement product and process changes to improve facility maintainability and reduce downtime.
Utilise all available tools, including Machine Management System (MMS) and SAP PM etc to generate maintenance reports for the plants first line management.
Develop strategies for, and procure all machine spares, ensuring compliance to common engineering strategy to ensure minimum machine downtime.
Ensure that maintenance activities are considered during the facility planning phase and become the maintenance interface between the process technical support teams, planning department and machine builder.
Be COSHH champion, be point of contact for all COSHH issues and carry out assessment for the maintenance materials.
Skills and Attributes:
Ability to effectively represent the interests of the client to internal / external customers and suppliers.
Thorough understanding of maintenance process and predictive techniques with the ability to manage major projects.
A good understanding of general machining technologies, machine architecture and basic functionality of machine control systems.
An understanding of PC architecture, with high levels of PC literacy.
Able to support IT systems.
Supervisory skills, demonstrating a competence for managing and maintaining continuous processes.

Experience:
Relevant knowledge of the latest maintenance techniques used in the manufacturing industry.
Operational experience in reactive and planned maintenance and to have carried out conditioned based monitoring programmes.
A minimum of 5 years practical experience in engineering.
Proven project management capability (timing, project control, cost, team leading)

Education and Qualifications:
An engineering apprenticeship and technical ONC, although HNC level is desirable.
Candidates that can demonstrate that they are working towards relevant qualifications will be considered.
