Our client provides a unique range of products and services to the insurance and motor repair industries. Primarily, conducting research and product data . This data assists in the efficient, safe and cost effective repair of motor vehicles.

Working closely with vehicle manufacturers to influence the design of new vehicles, their aim is to improve safety and security.

They are now looking for a Development Manager - Manufacturer Sector to build mutually beneficial relationships with vehicle manufacturers, Tier 1 and aftermarket suppliers.
Duties of the Development Manager include:

Establish relationships with vehicle manufacturers, Tier 1 and aftermarket suppliers.

Work closely with the Research Team to build relationships with vehicle manufacturers, Tier 1 and aftermarket suppliers.

Maintain revenue from vehicle security initiatives and product testing.

Professionally represent the company, clearly communicating partnership approach with critical business partners

Manage cross-functional client-facing initiatives, motivating and focusing departmental managers and staff

Populate and maintain an up-to-date account plan for each named account, which outlines required activity to deliver revenue targets and customer objectives.

Supply regular reports to the Commercial Director regarding the status of relationships and contracts.

As the Development Manager you will have a technical background gained in a previous role likely to be from the automotive sector, including but not limited to, a vehicle manufacturer, Tier 1 supplier or in a testing environment.

Non aggressive approach to contract negotiations. With special attention to developing contracts which are seen as a combined achievement of customers objectives.

Knowledge of delivery and pricing of testing programmes especially to defined protocols (BSI, ISO, CEN, Euro NCAP, RCAR)

Must be a senior relationship builder and have strong presentation skills and demonstrable success at building revenue streams from a partnership based sales approach.
