Powertrain NVH Engineer

Powertrain NVH Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Whitley, West Midlands.
Description
This role is to support NVH development on new engine programmes, including target setting and verification, planning and carrying out NVH testing in an Engine Noise Test Cell, analysing and reporting NVH data and liaising with suppliers and component owners to ensure that NVH targets are met.
Job Requirements
Skills Required:
The successful candidate will have an in depth knowledge of NVH principles and techniques and a proven track record in NVH delivery & problem solving. Experience of NVH measurement, practice and analysis is essential. The candidate must be capable of working under own initiative but be prepared to document findings, make recommendations and report out results at a senior level.
Skills Preferred:
Experience in Powertrain NVH target setting, target negotiation & component specification would be desirable. Previous experience on Base Engine NVH development Programmes would be preferable, as would experience of more advanced NVH analysis techniques such as crank domain analysis, wavelet analysis and combustion analysis.

Experience Required:
Extensive NVH experience, preferably including LMS Test Lab. Proven experience of Powertrain components & systems is also essential.
Education Required:
Degree/Diploma in Engineering/Automotive/Acoustics.
