Our client is a leading manufacturer of industrial diesel engines. An opportunity has arisen for a Master Production Scheduler (MPS) Planner within the Supply Chain department, working as part of a team of 3 MPS Planners and 2 Track Programmers. This is a fixed term two year contract which may become a permanent role. MPS place order for the customer base and manage the demand signal, working closely with Production and Demand and Orders management. The team are in control of the demand profile, ensuring a smooth programme for the business and suppliers to ensure the business can meet an achievable plan.

Review the demand profile and ensure that the demand is within the agreed capacity. Where demand is above review with Demand and Orders to align the demand. Review action messages and schedule comparisons on a regular basis and action where required, where changes have been made inside lead-time feedback to Demand and Orders. Review and align build rates in line with the current demand profile, liaise with Production and Demand and Order Management to agree the run rates. Review and manage the smoothing period and ensure that the build plan is within the build rates and the agreed capacity. Where it is not smooth the programme, taking into account the weighting of the build programme in terms of engine types. Ensuring no overloading outside of agreed constraints. Mnage WIP engines through the facility and liaise with the relevant department to ensure engines are process effectively.

You must have a UK Driving license and competent PC literacy. The successful candidates will have a professional approach to work with strong customer focus. Ambition and self-motivation will be key to enable the candidate to develop into the role and increase responsibility over time to become involved in more complex accounts. You must also be solutions orientated, process driven and adaptable to assist in change management.
