Our client is a leading clean power systems company. Their proprietary clean fuel and clean power technologies provide solutions to the difficult environmental and energy supply challenges being faced by governments and industry.


To recruit, retain and develop a team of electrical and electronic engineers working across all areas of the company who apply electrical and electronic engineering design and prototype build skills in the development of fuel cell stacks, systems and associated test systems. To identify the future term needs of my client in respect of electrical and electronic systems and ensure that we have access to the people, external consultants, suppliers and manufacturing partners needed to deliver it. Ensuring that the electrical and electronic work conducted within my client meets internal and external quality, health and safety requirements.
Responsible for electrical and electronics within the company. The range of activities include the following:

  • Identifying requirements for electrical and electronic systems in IE fuel cell systems in both the production and development stages;
  • Working with Operations, Sales and others to establish effective volume production solutions for production systems
  • Maintain an effective rapid-prototyping capability in the team for the electrical and electronic systems
  • Identifying the resources (skills, people, suppliers, equipment etc) required to deliver these
  • Defining the engineering processes for EandE system design, build, test and release within the QMS dept
  • Organising and managing the work within the team;
  • Designing systems and products;
  • Reading design specifications and technical drawings;
  • Researching suitable solutions and estimating costs and timescales;
  • Liaising with others in the design team, e.g. mechanical engineers, researchers and workshop staff;
