Our client is a leading clean power systems company. Their proprietary clean fuel and clean power technologies provide solutions to the difficult environmental and energy supply challenges being faced by governments and industry.


Responsible for planning, managing and delivering the technical aspects of production programmes; incorporating the design, implementation and monitoring of manufacturing processes. This will involve consultation with Research and Technology, Design, Quality, and Production Assembly Managers to achieve the most efficient and effective way of producing components and sub-systems to the highest quality. The role will predominantly focus on development of the existing low-volume production units to improve productivity and ultimately meet aggressive cost, quality and delivery targets for the significant volume ramp projections. Supplier development will represent a significant proportion of the role, together with the generation and maintenance of accurate Bill of Material cost models.

• Provide a production technical lead on new or modified product designs, providing a link between in-house Design, RandT and Production, coupled with supplier component manufacture and assembly.
• Support supplier selection and supply chain development processes through the assessment and subsequent technical management of suppliers.
• Assist Production managers in improving existing operations; incorporating new methods and processes.
• Investigate operational problems affecting production and deal with them in a systematic, methodical manner.
• Prepare manufacturing documentation.
• Identify and implement ways to reduce product cost.
• Work with Design, other departments and through the supply chain to establish "bottom-up" product
