Description
Job Function
• Responsible for the process development, scale-up, and technology transfer of new products for New Product Development (NPD) to commercial manufacturing sites. Main focus is on Oral Healthcare solid, semi-solid and liquid products.

Responsibilities
• Provide engineering/process support to assist in driving new innovative platform technologies into commercial manufacturing facilities
• Develop in-depth understanding of the new products in terms of formulation, processing, and their interactions

• Support the manufacture and filling of new products to supply product for use in pivotal stability, clinical and commercial trials
• Write and/or review/approve critical GMP documentation, such as batch records, experimental reports, validation protocols, development and technology transfer documentation
• Support the scale-up/down from laboratory to pilot and full commercial scales, developing knowledge of the critical process operating parameters and an understanding of how key quality attributes can be controlled
• Plan and implement process development experiments at laboratory and/or pilot plant (1/10th) scale, using tools such as DoE, to report to report results and support conclusions.
• Support technology transfer of new products into commercial manufacturing facilities, and implement cleaning verification/ validation of process equipment as needed, to the required cGMP and Health & Safety standards

Details
Required Degrees
• BSc. in Chemical/Process Engineering or related discipline

Basic Qualifications
• Experience working within regulated working environment (i.e. Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, FMCG or Food sectors)
• Strong practical skills – Capable of planning, executing and delivering complex manufacturing campaigns within a specified timeframe
• Experience with writing, reviewing and completing critical batch manufacturing records in line with a range of differing GMP requirements
• Experience with safely operating dispensing, manufacturing and filling equipment within a GMP manufacturing facility.
• Ability to understand complex processes through application of fundamental scientific and engineering principles.
