SMC JDA Programme Manager

Our client is a leading clean power systems company. Their proprietary clean fuel and clean power technologies provide solutions to the difficult environmental and energy supply challenges being faced by governments and industry.
My client has an on-going Joint Development Agreement with a leading Japanese Automotive OEM. The programme manager will lead and inspire a programme team to deliver my clients commitments to the JDA programme of work. Specifically, the purpose of the job will be to coordinate daily programme activities required to design, develop, test and validate fuel cell prototype systems for automotive applications. This will involve interfacing with engineering, operations, business development, RandT and technology specialists in both my client and the Automotive OEM. The programme will be managed in accordance with of my clients best practice directives. First hand experience of working with Automotive OEM s and a willingness to travel to Japan in support of the programme of work are both required.
- Accountable and responsible for programme delivery within time, budget and to specification
- Maintain programme plan and schedule
- Create and maintain programme work breakdown structure
- Allocation of budget and tasks
- Monitor programme performance
- Manage, focus and motivate programme team
- Manage programme change control
- Presentation of programme status to my client and OEM management staff
- To own the quality and integrity of the programme data
- Coordinate supporting research and technology tasks for programmes
- Implement automotive product development strategy where appropriate
- Manage programme in alignment with ISO 9001:2008 quality requirements
