Supplier Quality Engineer
West Midlands, England

The company is a leading worldwide automotive supplier of driveline and chassis technology and growth in the Midlands region has brough about the need for additional Quality focussed staff members to;
Ensure the relationship and communication between ZF and our Suppliers is developed and maintained.
Manage all Supplier continuous improvement and issue resolution activities.

You will;
Manage the successful process and product approval of new products utilizing the tools of APQP with increased focus on Capacity Analysis
Lead claim management and 8D process activities on both current and NPI business
Monitor and manage Supplier metrics on a monthly basis, developing appropriate reaction plans and escalating where necessary
Presentation of progress updates to NPI program teams and Management Review where necessary
Tracking and management of projects to ensure on time delivery of the product at the correct quality.
Measure supplier quality performance according to documented procedures and drive appropriate improvements to meet established targets.
Ownership and maintenance of key processes within Supplier Quality Management System

Desires:
HND in Mechanical Engineering / related subject or relevant experience
Previous Experience in a supply chain quality assurance role within Automotive sector is essential.
Machining and Assembly process knowledge essential
Six Sigma green belt is desired but not essential
